The Ontario Quarter Horse Racing Industry Development Program (QHRIDP) is pleased to announce its Skills Development Tuition Scholarship.
This scholarship program provides an opportunity for subsidized skills training and upgrading to individuals enrolled in equine-related academic programs or other programs that advance and improve the horse racing industry in Ontario.
Eligible to apply, are full-time and part-time students who are Ontario residents, 18 years of age or older, enrolled in equine-related academic programs or programs that develop skills that can be applied to benefit the equine industry. Applicants can receive support for multiple programs up to a maximum of $2,500 per year.
Education programs that will be considered for the Skills Development Tuition Scholarship include:
– Exercise Rider/Jockey Training Program, Olds College
– Certificate and diploma programs offered by Equine Guelph
– Diploma or degree programs with equine specialty
– Performance Horse Handler Certificate, Ridgetown Campus
– Equine Programs, Kemptville College
Other programs offered at Ontario colleges, universities or recognized academic institutions that are equine-related or develop skills that can be applied to benefit the equine industry (i.e. Journalism)
