Voting for the 47th Annual Sovereign Awards, presented by The Jockey Club of Canada, will begin on Monday, January 10, 2022 and a selected group of voters across Canada will have 13 days to complete their ballot. Voting closes Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 11:59 pm.
Voters are asked to select their first, second, and third choices for each category. A statistics file accompanies the ballot with racing records for all possible horses, by category, and humans, although a voter can also write in a candidate.
The Sovereign Awards highlight the achievements in Canadian Thoroughbred racing and breeding. For owner, trainer and jockey awards, the Canadian statistics only are to be used as the primary source for voting consideration.
