Rexdale, ON – A limited number of spaces are still available for the 2009 CTHS New Owner Syndicate program, which is being offered through the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Ontario Division).
Sponsored by the CTHS, the syndicate program has been formed to assist those wishing to make only a 10% investment into a racehorse, but receive 100% input from an experienced mentor and trainer. Since the program began in 2006, three groups of ten owners have been introduced to the thrills of horse racing. Several have since gone on and partnered with other syndicate members to form additional syndicates.
“This program was developed to provide new owners with a comfortable introduction to racehorse ownership without the risk of going on their own,” said Julie Coulter, General Manager of the Ontario CTHS. “We provide them with an experienced mentor and trainer who know the business and are able to pass that knowledge onto the syndicate members. As the group gets to know each other, it becomes a regular social event as well.”
With $20.9 million currently available through Ontario’s Horse Improvement Program (HIP), there has never been a better time to invest in a Registered Ontario-Bred/Ontario-Sired Thoroughbred racehorse in Ontario.
For more information on how you too can take part in the CTHS New Owner Syndicate program and experience “100% of the thrills for only 10% of the bills,” please contact the CTHS at 416-675-3602 or visit www.cthsont.com/syndicate.php.
