From Glenn Todd:
It’s sad day when we have to pass on the message that HOF trainer and owner Troy Taylor has passed on.
Troy was no less then a Legend in the Pacific Northwest as he was leading trainer at several tracks in his long career that expanded over six decades including Playfair Park in Spokane, Portland Meadows and 8 times the leading trainer at Hastings Racecourse.
Troy leaves many friends as he was loved by everybody on the backside. He never had a bad word to say about anybody.
He trained many great horses during his long career such as Turn to Fire, Grande Dandy, Sandy Fleet (World Record Holder for 6 1/2 furlongs), Holy Nova, Summer Song, Commander, Taylor Said, Taylors Deal and the list goes on and on. Troy trained for me alone over 130 stakes winners.
Troy leaves behind his wife Judy, his twin brother Roy and sister Darlene
Horse Racing has lost one of the best

R.I.P. my great friend
