Gousserie Racing and Ecuries Serge Stampniak’s unbeaten three-year-old ACE IMPACT (Ire) is the early favourite for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1)  on Sunday at Longchamp, one of the greatest races in the world. The 1 1/2 mile turf event has drawn a field of 15. The race goes off at 4:05 p.m. in France.

Ace Impact is a  son of Cracksman trained by Jean-Clause Rouget and the colt is the hometown horse. His most recent win came in the Group 2 Priz Guillaume d’Ornanno. The Racing Post Rating of 125 he achieved two starts ago at Chantilly would have been good enough to win four of the last seven Arcs, according to European racing news outlets.

Representing England and Ireland are King George (G1) top two finishers HUKUM and WESTOVER. The latter was sixth in last year’s Arc.
