Most of the mares and yearlings from Schonberg Farm, owned by the late Gus Schickdeanz, will be offered for sale next Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society’s Mixed Sale beginning at 12 noon.
Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms, Agent consigns the Schickedanz horses, ALL of which will be offered without reserve. Hill ‘n’ Dale, which has more than 40 horses in the catalogue (before supplements) also sells a number of horses from Joey Gee Thoroughbreds.
The Schickedanz consignment includes FUHR LOVE, a 5-year-old winning Langfuhr mare in foal to Rookie Sensation and stakes placed SWEET CRIMSON, in foal to Souper Speedy. There are yearlings by Langfuhr, Silent Name (Jpn) and Old Forester.
The Joey Gee Thoroughbred mares offered are sold in foal to his stallion SEATTLE SERENADE (Smart Strike) and sell with a complimentary, no guarantee breeding to that stallion.
Richard Hogan has a large consignment includes mares by Rahy, Tapit and several offerings from Colebrook Farms.
Greg and Hailey Avery, agent sell some horses for Bill Sorokolit, B and B Consignment have yearlings by Souper Speedy and Ami’s Holiday and Sue Foreman sells a selection of weanlings and yearlings for Borders Racing of Alberta.
Huntington Stud Farm has Ghostzapper and Unbridled’s Song mares, Northern Dawn Farm have a mixed group including yearlings by Souper Speedy, reload and English Channel and Windways Farm sells a 2-year-old, Snake Slayer, by Conquest Curlinate who has been working steadily in recent weeks.
