BEST BET:  8 – REGAL GUEST – RACE 7

LONGSHOT:  3-  GIZMO’S B F F – RACE 4

RACE 1:  3- VALRYRIAN SKY;  4- UNCAPURED MOMENT; 5 – CANADIAN AVRO; 6- RAPTURE BAY

RACE 2:  5- HEY CUE;  4- HICKSY; 2 -ERNIES MARTINI; 6 – THENORTHREMEMBERS

The Florida returnees for the Martin Drexler barn have been hit and miss early in the season, This guy won his 2025 opener at Gulfstream and he exits a race that was hot from start to finish.

RACE 3:  3 – LAST AMERICAN EXIT; 6 – GAROFOLI;  2 – BREAK THE SPELL; 5 – PINE KNOLL

The top pick’s Florida starts weren’t great and this old timer dips back down to $25,000 claiming. His stablemate Pine Knoll isn’t much better. Maybe the hot John Ross barn can have Garofoli strong enough to win at 6 furlongs, a bit father than he likes.

RACE 4:  3 – GIZMO’S B F F; 7 – ALBERTA BE MINE; 1 – CRIMSON NIGHTS; 5 – PLUIE D’AVRIL

RACE 5: 2- ATTESTATION;  8- CONTRIVANCE; 3 – IMPERIAL STAR; 5 – WHISKEY ROW

Non winners of 2 lifetime at 5 1/2 furlongs and it’s a weak race. Attestation came in from Florida on opening weekend and was along for third at 5 furlongs, he gets a bit more distance. The maiden Contrivance is worth a look since he showed speed and had a few good outings against better last year.

RACE 6:   9 – AWESOME BOURBON;  7- AWESOME CRUSADER;  1 – SECRET THREAT; 5 ITS TIME TO SHINE

Awesome Bourbon is a talented fellow who has been lightly raced and in some tough situations. He had a very big run in the Overskate Stakes last fall and in his 2025 opener in March in Florida, he wasn’t far off at a distance that is a bit too short for him

RACE 7:  8 – REGAL GUEST; 4- SHADOW REALM; 9 – AWESOME RAINBOW; 3 – DADDY HAS DIAMONDS

Pink Lloyd’s full brother Regal Guest is back from a vacation and is a first-time gelding, as are several others in the field. The owner and trainer won with Lucky Guest in fast time on Saturday.

RACE 8:   6- COTTON; 2- PRICELESS WILL; 5 – SOUPER DORMY;  3 – JAMIESTA

Old timer Cotton should be the best speed in the field and he exits a strong turf dash at Tampa Bay Downs in January.

RACE 9: 3 – PATCHES O’HOULIHAN; 5 – FLAG OF HONOUR (AUS); 2 – FILO DI ARINNA (BRZ); 4- IRONSTONE

RACE 10 :  12 – OUR LADY;  10 – BEACH CRICKET; 9 – EARENDEL;   6- MY EMMY; 8 – CALL ME MISSLUCKY

Trainer Steven Chircop is loaded in this big field of maiden fillies and one of them, Our Lady, has been lighting up the worktab since last summer. A quick daughter of Bold d’Oro, she was a $160,000 2-year-old purchase in Maryland last spring.
