QUEEN’S PLATE TOP 10
QUEEN’SPLATEKITTEN‘S 83 Beyer Figure from his one-paced outing in the Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes hoisted the dark bay up to top spot for the Queen’s Plate on June 26. As long as he is now re-directed and pointed to the Plate, the Martin Schwartz owned son of Kitten’s Joy is a factor for trainer Todd Pletcher.
ELITE ALEX bombed in the Ark. Derby on the dirt but all reports say he is still on his way to Woodbine by June – he must be supplemented to the Plate by May 1.
BEAR’S CHILL stepped up with a huge win on the weekend – he too is not yet eligible – and the filly JOYFUL VICTORY is headed to the Kentucky Oaks on May 6.

WESLEY WARD is still the leading trainer at Woodbine and could add to that on Saturday with his one starter. Meanwhile DON MACRAE won 4 races last weekend and the READE BAKER stable had a few close misses but it up there with Sam DiPasquale.
