THE DAY IS HERE!
It’s KENTUCKY DERBY DAY and in Toronto, a bright sparkling spring day for us to watch our own big race hopefuls in the QUEENSTON STAKES, a prep for the QUEEN’S PLATE
All that needs to be written about the Derby has been – but here’s a shout out to the TORONTO STAR which crushed again, it had a feature on the 50th anniversary of the birth of NORTHERN DANCER ON PAGE 3 OF THE FIRST SECTION:

DID YOU NOTICE who the ONLY DERBY ENTRANT IS WITH NO DANCER BLOOD??
The Star also had the entrants for the Derby as part of a stellar graphic designed by CATHERINE FARLEY, who I know worked tirelessly on this complicated piece – thanks Catherine!
Also in the Star is a feature by an intern worker on riding horses and a story on the scratching of UNCLE MO.
So, this is a quick blog post as I get down to studying some races and getting in a quick nap before a big day – what did we learn from the KENTUCKY OAKS YESTERDAY
FIGS DON’T LIE!!
here are the THOROUGHBLOG KENTUCKY DERBY PICKS:
