TIZ A SLAM, 2nd in the Queen’s Plate for Chiefswood Stable and trainer Roger Attfield, had a test run on the training track dirt at Woodbine on Wednesday morning – 5 furlongs in 1:02 4/5 in a gauge to see if he will take part in the Prince of Wales.
Aurora Way, also from Chiefswood, is under consideration as well. He is trained by Stuart Simon.
Trainer Mike Keogh is prepping MEGAGRAY and WOODBRIDGE for the Wales and both colts appear to be rounding into their best form. Megagray was pumped up in the Plate with his new blinkers and he stayed on well to finish 5th.
STATE OF HONOR, ninth in the Plate, could still participate in the 1 3/16 mile dirt race and COOL CATOMINE, a recent maiden winner for John Ross and Jack of Hearts racing, is also scheduled to compete.
Time to Travel, the impressive maiden winner in Florida in the winter for Garland and Marie Williamson, is headed home to the farm tomorrow. The Hard Spun colt has raced on dirt and grass since his maiden win but has gone off form for trainer Michael Matz.

BULLETIN – Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) is advising employees and members of the public that a labour disruption may take place on Friday, July 14, 2017, at 12:01 a.m., affecting Woodbine Racetrack, but not Mohawk Racetrack.
The disruption may occur as a result of unsuccessful collective agreement negotiations between Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) at Woodbine and the Public Service Alliance of Canada, which represents more than 180,000 workers in every province and territory in Canada.
WEG officials say the dispute may have an impact on all employees, horse people and guests who wish to enter the Woodbine Racetrack property, and caution that delays should be expected due to picket lines at the entrances.

Ken and Sarah Ramsay bought an Ontario bred colt from Bernard and Karen McCormack for $75,000 at the Fasig Tipton July sale earlier this week and perhaps will try to do the same as they with another McCormack bred Sir Dudley Digges.
The Ramsays won the Queen’s Plate with Sir Dudley, bred by the McCormacks.
The McCormacks’ Cara Bloodstock also sold a Feb Biz colt for $35,000 to Red Wings.
Gabe and Jess Grossberg, who breed and race in Ontario and have Mark casse as their trainer, bought an Ontario bred by Central Banker for $70,000. The flashy filly was bred by Arika Everatt Meeuse and James and Janeane Everatt.
The Everatts also sold a Data Link filly for $35,000 to Grassroots Training.

Woodbine Racetrack to be Presenting Sponsor of Fasig-Tipton’s Turf Showcase
Woodbine Racetrack will be the presenting sponsor of Fasig-Tipton’s inaugural Turf Showcase Sale to be held on September 10 in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Turf Showcase, Presented by Woodbine Racetrack, is the first North American yearling sale exclusively for horses with “turf appeal.” Woodbine recently announced the construction of a second turf course to compliment its heralded E.P. Taylor Turf Course.
