Thoughts are for those involved, equine and human, in a sad incident at Fort Erie on Sunday.

In Queen’s Plate news, HAMMERS VISION has been withdrawn for the Queen’s Plate according to trainer Brian Lynch. The colt will run in the Charlie Balrey Stakes instead this weekend.

There were some Plate workers on Sunday…

LEAVEM IN MALIBU -85 Beyer in allowance win Gary Boulanger – hype horse could battle for 2nd favourite

ALL ON RED – 84 BEYER, 2nd in allowance – green, speed and could be very good

CHEBURASHKA – 75, 81 in recent allowance races; pleasing workout on Sat. morning

BREAKFAST BY THE RAILS at Woodbine Trackside tent

It was a sparkling morning trackside at Woodbine as horsepeople, fans and others gathered for a breakfast and morning training at Woodbine.
Queen’s Plate contenders ALL ON RED, HAMMERS VISION and SIR DUDLEY DIGGES had workouts on the Tapeta.

Ken and Sarah Ramsay’s SIR DUDLEY DIGGES had the 5 furlong bullet of 59 3/5 as he worked along by himself with red blinkers. He looked like he was going very easily and he is does look very well.

ALL ON RED worked with 2 others and had a steady, 6 furlong prep in 1:14 4/5 while appearing to be a bit green still. As trainer Sid Attard has said, the colt is still looking around when he races or in the post parade. Eurico da Silva will ride in the Plate and that adds on a length or two to his chances to boot.

HAMMERS VISION, who is in from New York for Terry Hamilton, worked 6 furlongs in 1:14 1/5 and he is by Court Vision. He has since been witrhdrawn from the Plate and will go in the Charlie Barley Stakes.

MY NAME IS JIM worked 5 furlongs on the training track in 1:00 for trainer Reade Baker.

JESSE CAMPBELL has been named as My Name is Jim’s rider.
