RAVALO UPSETS KENNEDY ROAD…CANADIANS IN A MESS IN THE U.S…LONGRUN DAY WAS BUSY!

WOODBINE SATURDAY – A cold, crisp day and greeting folks as they came into the track was none other than TINE ALERT, a son of Secretariat, who at 21 showed he’s a feisty as can be. The white faced chestnut, out of the The Minstrel mare Snow Blossom, was there to promote LONGRUN DAY AT THE RACES.

Upstairs, LongRun (Thoroughbred Retirement Society) was giving away gorgeous calendars and jockeys EMILE RAMSAMMY, COREY FRASER, ROB LANDRY AND LUIS CONTRERAS were signing away.

LongRun sold Christmas Cards, Christmas decorations and shirts and saddle pads to help its fostered horses be taken care of as winter nears.

On the track, the road warrior RAVALO came back on to win the Kennedy Road Stakes for his 15th win in his 40th start. Bought by Lynn Redding as a yearling, the Mutakkdim gelding has raced at 11 tracks. He was up to beat Signature Red by a head in 1:09, good for a 93 Beyer Figure.

FATAL BULLET was a game 3rd.

TOP PROSPECT is well named. He is an Ontario bred by Stormy Atlantic out of the Smart Strike mare Strike Me Lucky and he won a 2yo allowance yesterday with an 80 Beyer Figure at 7 furlongs. He was bred by Hill ‘n’ Dale and was a $30,000 purchase by C E C Farm. Ralph Biamonte trains.
