Florida and California-bred thoroughbreds face off once again in the eighth running of Sunshine Millions series of races, which run simultaneously on both coasts Saturday.

combined $1.8 million, are capped off by the $500,000 Sunshine Millions Classics. The 1 1/8 mile classic will

MEYDAN OPENS – Dubai’s fancy new track
Midshipman sinks in 4th
EXCERPT FROM THE GUARDIAN
Gloria De Campeao spoils Meydan opening night for Frankie Dettori
• French claim spoils as Midshipman is all at sea in fourth
• British-trained runners come to fore with three winners
Frankie Dettori, Kieren Fallon and Christophe Soumillon were all among the winning jockeys on the first day of racing at the magnificent new Meydan racecourse in Dubai today, but there was disappointment for Dettori and Godolphin in the main event, the first round of the Maktoum Challenge, as Midshipman could finish only fourth to Gloria De Campeao.
Midshipman, the winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Santa Anita in 2008, started favourite at an industry SP of 6-4, despite having drawn the widest stall in a 14-runner field. He broke well but was caught wide all the way to the home straight and, though he was going best of all with a quarter of a mile to run, the effort took its toll in the final furlong.
Gloria De Campeao, at 12-1, stayed on well up the far rail for his Brazilian jockey, TJ Pereira, to beat
Forgotten Voice, last year’s Royal Hunt Cup winner, with Consul General, a 25-1 chance, back in third.

TORONTO’S IN-FORM SHEETS LAND ON YOU-BET!!
The name of the game for those who make the game go is to bet on a winner. Everyone is looking for a new angle, approach as we open up the Daily Racing Form each day.
Handicapping a horse race is a fascinating puzzle and we are always looking for new stuff out there.
Locally based IN-FORM SHEETS (www.in-formsheets.com) is now available not only here by Youbet.com has picked up the product!
Press release:
Not just another handicapping system, another layer of confidence.
Like the best handicapping products, the IN-FORM Sheets System doesn’t tell you what horses to pick or which one is going to win – that’s for you to decide. IN-FORM gives you a more in-depth handicapping information so you can make more informed choices.
IN-FORM fills an important gap in the handicapping spectrum, going beyond just focusing on individual horses.
What the IN-FORM team does is rate each horse on a huge list of criteria in order to establish its IN-FORM
performance number. By using a longer list of factors, they’re able to flatten the relative performance curve
from horse to horse to give you a clearer picture of the field. In other words, you have an apples-to-apples
comparison of all the competitors in relation to each other – or what IN-FORM calls top-to-bottom handicapping.
