NORA COSTIGAN (second from right) passed away yesterday after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Nora attended the E P Taylor Stakes this year and was graceful and friendly and lovely as always. I am a big fan of the family and I know that Nora is at peace. Condolences to Costigan family.

From the Costigan family…

It is with heavy hearts that we let you know that Nora got her Angel Wings this evening, she passed away in our arms.
Nora fought a long and courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer for a year. To all you of you who gave Nora their prayers, love, support and encouragement we thank you. We will email more at a later date. Sorry for the impersonal email but we wanted to let you all know as we are in Ireland where Nora wanted to be for her final days.

CAIXA ELECTRONICA

On a day when the racing world was looking ahead to the Kentucky Derby, a tragic accident took the life of two horses, including one of the sport’s most popular runners.

Caixa Eletronica, a fan favorite on the New York Racing Association circuit, was killed instantly Saturday morning after being involved in a collision with another horse over the training track at Belmont Park.
