The Breeders' Stakes won't have the Plate or Prince of Wales Stakes in the field; two Ontario-bred stakes winners sold to US interests.
Brachetto
Manitoba-breds such as Plate Trial Stakes winner Brachetto have been doing well and buyers have a chance to pick one up at this week's sale.
Ross and Brenda McKague have foaled all their own mares on their Brandon, Manitoba farm; one of them has made it to the King's Plate.
Brachetto upset top King's Plate contender Magical Factor in a close Marine Stakes, while Luster looked good in the Selene.
