Hastings General Manager, Darren MacDonald sends along late yesterday that he walked the entire barn on Thursday afternoon and states the horse count now appears to be around 530 horses.
Although we don’t have an official count for the same time last year it would appear we are up over the total count.
The number of workers for the same dates for last year is considerably higher and we will have far more horses ready to run on opening day.
