William DeCoursey and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ INFINITE PATIENCE won the Sadie Diamond Futurity Saturday at Hastings Park by six lengths at 1 to 20 odds.
The filly paid $2.10 across the board for her fourth win in as many starts.
The filly was bred by DeCoursey and is a daughter of Sungold – Montero by Louis Quatorze. Sungold is a son of A.P. Indy and he was a winner at Hastings. The dam Montero is a stakes winner who has produced multiple BC stakes winner Raider.
DeCoursey sold a share in the filly to NHL hockey player Nugent-Hopkins who races at R N H Stable.
Nugent-Hopkins, who plays for the Edmonton Oilers, bought his first racehorse about seven years ago and his horses are trained by Barbara Heads.
