Tod Mountain Thoroughbreds’ homebred STAY FANTASTIC was voted the British Columbia Horse of the Year on Wednesday, April 21 at the BC/Hastings Racecourse Awards for achievements in 2020 racing.

Stay Fantastic (Stay Thirsty – Fantastic City by Carson City) is a BC-bred trained by Christine Ammann who went 5 for 5 last season as a 4-year-old. The gelding went from four claiming wins to a victory in the SW Randall Plate on Oct. 1, posting a career best 84 Beyer Speed Figure according to Daily Racing Form. He edged multiple champion HERE’S HANNAH, the older mare champion, for the Horse of the Year title.

The gelding was also named Claimer of the Year and Open, Older Horse of the Year.
